We invite everyone interested in yoga to join OYA. As an active member, you are an integral part of a provincial organization dedicated to promoting and supporting quality, certified teaching of yoga.

You may access the application form (pdf format) by clicking here. Print and complete the form and either fax or mail the form back to us. If you require further information, please send email to info@ontarioyogaassociation.ca.

OYA has two different membership categories:

General Membership:
All are welcome as a General member, including teachers who are not currently teaching yoga and students of yoga. Whether you have a mild curiosity or are an avid practitioner, you are invited to join. General membership is $65.00 annually.

Registered Membership:
Registered membership is available to those who meet the requirements and successfully complete OYA’s registration process. Please click here for application process. Once registered, annual fees are $65.00.

Benefits of Registered Membership:

• Join our online Registered Teachers directory accessible to the general public
• Low cost liability insurance is available for OYA R teachers and studios. Please email info@ontarioyogaassociation.ca for more information.
• Low cost ads/announcements in our newsletter OYA Oracle, our tri-annual newsletter, which keeps you up to date. Learn more about OYA Oracle.

  OYA Oracle keeps you up-to-date on OYA-sponsored workshops, as well as those offered by our members. Our newly registered teachers are introduced in its pages & there are articles on new teaching developments, techniques, personal stories & interviews. OYA Oracle welcomes submissions of essays, observations, poetry & photos from our members. Advertising space is also available. View OYA Oracle rate information.

• Professional development for teachers and trainees with esteemed yoga teachers. Members receive discounts for OYA’s educational workshops and retreats presented by internationally known and respected yoga teachers.
• Networking opportunities and mutual support within a community of diverse yoga enthusiasts. All members have access to a supportive network of experienced teachers who can provide resource materials, answers to teachers’ questions and mutual encouragement.
• Opportunities to teach teachers of yoga
• Help shape the registration process for future yoga teachers and students
• Become an active part of a growing, vibrant organization.
